Terrorists Unleash Night of Horror in Kwara: Three Killed, Pastor and Worshippers Abducted in CAC Church Raid
18th November 2025
Eruku, Kwara State — A quiet Tuesday evening turned into a nightmare in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, as terrorists stormed a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) branch, killing three worshippers and abducting the pastor along with several others.
The attackers reportedly struck during a church meeting, opening fire without warning and causing chaos as worshippers scrambled for safety. Three people were shot dead instantly before the gunmen rounded up an unknown number of victims and forced them into the surrounding forest.
“They came out of nowhere and started shooting,” a resident told Glintnews. “Three people died immediately. They gathered the rest at gunpoint and marched them into the bush. We still can’t confirm how many were taken.”
The armed men were said to have escaped through bush paths connecting Eruku to nearby communities, leaving residents terrified as news of the attack spread.
Earlier in the day, panic had already engulfed the community after heavily armed terrorists reportedly entered Eruku through a major access route, firing sporadically and causing travellers and locals to flee into nearby bushes. Vehicles were abandoned on the road as continuous gunfire echoed across parts of the town.
A traveller fleeing the scene captured a distressing video while hiding in the bush, pleading desperately for security intervention as gunshots thundered in the background.
“This is 18-11-2025. We were coming from Federal Poly Bida through Ilorin road when they started shooting,” he said breathlessly. “Everyone has scattered. Please, come to our rescue. The community is in chaos.”
As the attackers reportedly moved unchallenged across communities in Kwara State, residents were left in fear and confusion over the growing wave of violence.
As of press time, the Kwara State Police Command and the state government had yet to release any official statement regarding the attacks.
