A Decade after Chibok School Girls Kidnap ,Terrorists Raid Girls’ School at Dawn, Abduct Students and Kill Staff Member In Nigeria

Panic swept through Kebbi State in the early hours of Monday after terrorists launched a violent attack on Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School, abducting several female students and killing a staff member during the onslaught.

The attackers, described by locals as heavily armed bandits, stormed the school premises at about 5:52am—just as students were preparing for their morning routine—firing sporadically and forcing their way into hostels. A school guard was also seriously injured in the chaos.

Witnesses told GlintNews that the assailants moved swiftly, dragging students out while unleashing gunfire that sent the school community fleeing for safety. Although the exact number of abducted students is still unclear, residents insist the terrorists remain within the vicinity and are calling on both the Federal and State governments to act urgently before the girls are moved deeper into the forest.

Further findings revealed that the school assault may be connected to an earlier attack late Sunday night. According to security sources, the same group of terrorists had ambushed a police outpost in Rogun, engaging officers in a prolonged gun duel. By the time the exchange ended, two security operatives—a police constabulary and a vigilante—had been killed.

The latest incident adds to growing concerns over the resurgence of school-targeted abductions in northern Nigeria, with communities now pleading for immediate military intervention to prevent another mass tragedy.
