BREAKING: IPOB  Issues Urgent Evacuation Advisory to Biafrans and Southern Christians in Northern Nigeria Over Security Threats

Enugu, Nigeria — November 6, 2025.

The Directorate of State (DOS) of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued an urgent evacuation advisory to all Biafrans and Southern Christians currently residing in the northern parts of Nigeria, following what it described as credible intelligence reports of an imminent coordinated attack targeting non-Muslim communities in the region.

According to a statement made available to the media on Thursday, the DOS revealed that it had received reliable security intelligence suggesting plans to carry out further genocidal acts against Biafrans and members of the Christian community in northern Nigeria. The advisory links these alleged threats to recent international developments, particularly the United States government’s announcement of its readiness to take action to protect Christians in Nigeria.

The statement reads in part:

“We have received credible intelligence indicating that the Fulani-controlled establishment and their terror networks are mobilizing to launch retaliatory attacks on Biafrans and Christians residing in northern Nigeria. This follows the United States government’s declared intention to safeguard the Christian population from ongoing persecution and genocidal violence.”

The IPOB Directorate stated that, given what it termed the predictable response of the Fulani Caliphate and its armed proxies, it has become imperative for all Biafrans and southern Christians in the north to immediately activate relocation plans and move to safety within Biafran territories.

“The urgency of the situation demands that you activate all necessary machinery and logistics to ensure the immediate evacuation of yourself and your family members from the northern part of Nigeria. Leave all immovable properties behind and prioritize your safety above material possessions,” the statement urged.

The group further advised individuals to take along essential personal effects and documents related to landed properties or other assets they may own in the north, emphasizing that human life remains the most valuable asset.

“Do not attempt to return to northern Nigeria until it is officially declared safe to do so,” the Directorate cautioned.

The statement also encouraged all affected persons to stay informed and connected by downloading the Radio Biafra and IPOB Community Radio applications or tuning in to Radio Biafra on 102.1 FM for continuous updates as the situation unfolds.

“For verified information and updates, visit our official website at www.ipob.org. We urge everyone to remain calm but proactive. Safety must come first,” the DOS concluded.

The latest advisory comes amid rising political and religious tensions across Nigeria, following intensified debates over foreign involvement and allegations of systematic persecution of Christian populations, particularly in the northern regions.

Security experts have warned that the situation could escalate if swift preventive actions are not taken by both state and community authorities to protect vulnerable groups.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian government has yet to respond to IPOB’s claims or the reported intelligence of planned attacks.
