_Grave Crime: Lagos Cemetery Worker, Two Others Arrested with Five Human Skulls_

In a shocking and disturbing turn of events, a cemetery worker and two accomplices were apprehended with five human skulls in the Agege Local Government Area of Lagos State on Sunday. The suspects were caught by local security operatives in the Murikaz area of the cemetery, near the Murikaz area, following a tip-off from concerned residents.

According to eyewitnesses, the suspects had been working in conjunction with the cemetery attendant, Ismaila, to obtain body parts for illicit purposes. The suspects were initially caught with a suspicious bag placed on a fence at the back of the cemetery, which they claimed contained leaves. However, upon further insistence from security operatives and residents, they opened the bag to reveal another bag containing five severed human heads.

This is not the first time the cemetery worker has been involved in such illicit activities. A witness revealed that the same worker was caught with a human head about six months ago by the police and had to temporarily leave the area. Despite this previous offense, the worker apparently continued to engage in these nefarious activities, highlighting concerns about the effectiveness of law enforcement and the need for stricter measures.

The police have confirmed the incident and pledged to investigate further, transferring the case to the State Investigation Department. Authorities are working tirelessly to apprehend other suspects still at large and ensure a safer community in Agege.

The Lagos State Police Command has demonstrated its commitment to tackling these crimes, as seen in previous arrests of individuals involved in similar activities. In recent years, there have been several cases of human body parts being sold to native doctors, who grind them into powder for use as charms. These charms are often touted as solutions for various problems, including wealth, relationships, and protection.

The involvement of cemetery workers in these illicit activities raises concerns about the vulnerability of cemetery facilities and the potential for exploitation. Experts have called for increased security measures and stricter regulations to prevent such incidents.

Residents played a crucial role in reporting suspicious activities, leading to the suspects' arrest. The community's vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement are essential in combating these crimes.

As the investigation unfolds, the public awaits justice for the victims and their families. The Lagos State Government must ensure that those responsible face the full weight of the law and take concrete steps to prevent future incidents.

The police spokesperson assured that the command would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that all suspects involved in the crime are brought to justice. The case has sparked widespread condemnation, with many calling for tougher penalties for those involved in the illicit trade of human body parts.
