IMT Alumni Association Congratulates New Rector, Pledges Total Support

The Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Alumni Association has congratulated Professor Gozie Ogbodo on his appointment as the new Rector, pledging to give him maximum support and build a formidable synergy with him to project the institution's academic excellence and moral values .

Professor Gozie Ogbodo's appointment by the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, is seen as a welcome development. The National Vice President, Hon. Monday Diamond Ani (JP), described Professor Ogbodo's academic and administrative records as "enviable," with impressive human resource management skills .

Professor Ogbodo boasts an impressive educational background, having graduated from the College of Immaculate Conception (CIC), Enugu, and later obtaining a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) Hons from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He also holds a Master of Law (LL.M) and Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) from Golden Gate University, San Francisco .

His administrative experience includes serving as Assistant Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Benin; Pioneer Dean, Faculty of Law, Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu; and Pioneer Deputy Vice-chancellor, Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu .

Hon. Ani expressed gratitude to Governor Mbah for his keen interest and maximum support towards promoting education in Enugu State and appointing Professor Ogbodo as the new Rector. He believes Professor Ogbodo will deploy his wealth of experience to manage IMT academically and administratively, aided by Deputy Rector Dr. Emeka Ejim .

The synergy between Professor Ogbodo, Dr. Ejim, and Governor Mbah is expected to propel IMT to the top spot in Nigeria and Africa in terms of academic standards and rating. With this new leadership, IMT is poised for greatness.
