IPOB Dismisses Purported Biafra Declaration in Finland as Scam

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has vehemently disassociated itself from a purported Biafra declaration in Finland, labeling it a scam orchestrated by an unknown group. According to IPOB, this declaration is nothing but a mockery of the Biafra struggle, and the group's eternal leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, had already declared Biafra's independence in 1967 .

IPOB commends responsible media organizations and social media bloggers in Nigeria and the diaspora for ignoring the event, which was staged by infiltrators seeking to destabilize the South East Region. The group emphasizes that Biafra cannot be declared for the second time by anyone, as its sovereignty was already declared by Dim Ojukwu in 1967 .

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB's leader, had previously refused to declare Biafra a second time, despite pressure from enemies within and outside the organization. His refusal demonstrates his understanding of the seasons, times, and rules governing self-determination. IPOB is advocating for a UN-supervised referendum for Biafrans to decide their political future .
