"IPOB Threatens Action Against Nigerian Lawmakers Over Proposed IDP Camp in Igbo Land"

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a scathing warning to Nigerian lawmakers, particularly Senator Frank Ibezim and others representing Imo State, over plans to establish an Internally Displaced People (IDP) camp in the South-East region.

In a strongly-worded statement issued by IPOB's Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the group reiterated its unequivocal rejection of the proposed IDP skills acquisition center in Imo State. IPOB labeled this move a covert operation to import terrorists and bandits into Biafra land, stressing that it's "dead on arrival."

The statement emphasized that IPOB will not tolerate any attempts to deploy terrorists and bandits in the guise of an IDP camp, warning Igbo politicians who support this initiative to "be ready for the consequences." IPOB views this move as an attempt to change the demography and homogeneity of the Biafra Nation.

"We state categorically that this covert operation to import terrorists and bandits into Biafra land is dead on arrival," the IPOB spokesperson said. "In the light of the said project, IPOB is warning all Igbo politicians who see the deployment of terrorists and bandits in the name of IDP camp as their dividend of democracy from a Federal Government that hates the Igbo Nation of Biafra to be ready for the consequences."

Specifically, IPOB targeted Senator Frank Ibezim, representing Imo North Senatorial District, and lawmakers representing Owerri Zone and Orlu Zone, warning them of repercussions if they succeed in backing the Nigerian government's plan.

"All the Imo State politicians that colluded with Hope Uzodinma to import Fulanis and almajiris using the IDP Skill Acquisition Center as a cover should be prepared for what is coming," the statement read.

IPOB emphasized that it will not allow the importation of foreign terrorist marauders into Biafra Land, stressing that the internally displaced persons in the North should be accommodated in the Northern region where there is vast space.

"No inch of Biafra Land is available for IDP camp," the statement concluded. "Igbo greedy politicians should know this and know peace."

This development highlights the escalating tensions between IPOB and the Nigerian government since the kidnap of the IPOB leader from Kenya by the Nigeria government and refused to release him even after court ruling in his favour, with IPOB reaffirming its commitment to protecting the interests of the Biafra Nation.

Biafra is the old eastern region of Nigeria now known as South-East and South-South who have been fighting for independent which caused the Biafra-Nigeria civil war that claimed the lives of over 3 million Igbos mostly women and children from 1967-1970
