A night attack in Amadu community, Takum LGA of Taraba State, left six residents dead, triggering intense anger and a dawn protest. The victims — all local farmers — were ambushed on their way home on Monday night by suspected armed herders, according to villagers.

At daybreak, families gathered around the bodies, and residents poured into the streets demanding justice and protection. Eyewitnesses told GlintNews the community has suffered repeated assaults in recent months, despite earlier warnings from local leaders, including Rev. Fr. George Dogo, about rising insecurity in the area.

The protest captured in the video reflects both the grief of the killings and the community’s frustration over what they describe as a pattern of attacks on rural Christian settlements in Takum.
